Video shows shooting near San Antonio

Investigators said the gunman targeted a house but fired in the wrong direction.

SAN ANTONIO — A deadly drive-by shooting has terrorized a Far West community.

KENS 5 gets chaotic video as up to 100 roads are unloaded. The doorbell camera captured the incessant sound of gunfire.

This happened on Bald Mountain Avenue. Investigators say Novita Brazil, 25, was shot while using a computer. Meanwhile, another Airbnb guest was injured.

A 14-year-old and a 15-year-old are behind bars. Investigators said the gunman targeted a house but fired in the wrong direction.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office reported that just before 1:00 a.m., two teens drove a stolen car past a home on Bald Mountain Drive with shots fired at a house. At first, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said deputies were patrolling outside and heard gunfire. However, deputies have no idea where it happened. Before long, 911 calls began pouring in as residents feared for their lives.

“It was heartbreaking to see it,” the sheriff said. “Frankly, knowing what’s going on here shocks the conscience.”

From night to day, you can see the damage left behind. A resident spoke to KENS 5. She doesn’t want to be on camera, but has lived on the street for a long time.

“I was in complete shock and shock,” she said. “It’s unbelievable for something like this to happen so close to home. Right on our street. It’s always been peaceful.”

The BCSO said they located a car that matched the description of the suspect’s vehicle and chased it down Highway 90. A foot chase ensued near Acme Road. San Antonio police arrested the teens.

“This is our street,” the neighbor said. “And no one should come and disturb our peaceful life here.”

Investigators are still trying to figure out whether the third suspect was rescued from the car.

“I don’t think they showed any remorse,” the sheriff said. “I think from this pursuit, all indications are that all they care about is getting out of crime.

Residents of a nearby home opened fire on the gunman, sheriffs said. Investigators believe the home may have been the target.
