Few shoe options are as divisive as clogs. Like the Birkenstocks and Ugg boots before it, the equally controversial footwear trend is making a comeback for fall 2022. Dries Van Noten, Celine and Hermès all showcased clogs on their respective Fall/Winter 2022 shows, and like most fashion trends, they’ve infiltrated the stores—celebrities, editors and influencers just can’t stop wear them. It makes sense. While the best clogs for fall can seem difficult to style, the right style is really just a fashion-forward alternative to sneakers. (What’s more, they’re just as comfortable.)
Content creator and brand consultant Kellie Brown is a big proponent of the trend, and has been known to wear clogs with everything from knitted cutout dresses to jeans and T-shirts. “I say style as you like,” she said. “I love the juxtaposition of the unseriousness of summer dresses with layers of cork, clogs paired with comfy socks, baseball caps, and overly fancy, chic little purses.”
She’s not the only one jumping on the bandwagon. Ahead, the best geta shopping for fall and beyond.
