The 18-year-old American actor shared the news with fans in a video posted on TikTok after telling family and friends.

In the clip, he says to a woman’s voice: “You know, it’s never been that serious, it’s never been that serious, frankly, we’ll never be that serious” – a common trending app on social media .
Schnapp rose to fame playing Will Byers on the hit Netflix show alongside Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder and David Harbor.
After the last two episodes of the Stranger Things season four finale, he revealed that his character is gay and in love with his best friend Mike (played by Finn Wolfhard).
While it wasn’t explicitly stated on the show, Schnapp told US publication Variety: “Obviously, it was hinted at in the first season: It was always there, but you never really knew. Now that he’s getting older, they Make it a very real, obvious thing.”
