At least five people were killed and 18 others were injured in a mass shooting Saturday at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado, according to police.

The Colorado Springs police lieutenant said authorities responded to the scene at Club Q after receiving a flood of 911 calls beginning at 11:57 p.m. local time. Pamela Castro.

“They did find a guy who we think is a suspect inside,” Castro said. “Currently, the suspect is receiving treatment but has been detained.”

Castro did not clarify whether the suspect was among those injured in the shooting.

Police declined to discuss a possible motive. Colorado Springs Fire Chief Mike Smaldino said 11 ambulances were called to the scene after multiple 911 calls.

“We’re going to be here for many, many hours,” Castro said, adding that the FBI was on the ground to assist.
