Man and woman charged after embarrassing town burglary

Embarrass Township, Minn. — Two people were arrested and charged after investigators said they stole a business Wednesday in Embarrass Township.

St. Just after 9 p.m. on September 28, officers were called to an unidentified business in the 4800 block of Highway 21, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office said.

When deputies arrived, they found tiles from the ceiling had been removed and placed on the floor, along with other evidence that the business had been broken into.

They searched the building and found a man and a woman hiding inside.

Matthew Goodwin and Sarah Declusin were booked into St. Petersburg. St. Louis County Jail, Virginia.

Goodwin was charged with felony third-degree burglary.

Declusin is charged with felony burglary in the third degree, possession of an instrument used for theft or theft, assault on a pacer and obstruction of legal process in the fourth degree, and possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree.

Both are scheduled to appear in court on October 17.

Babbitt Police assisted in the investigation.
