JERUSALEM, Sept 19 (Reuters) – Israeli investment firm OurCrowd said on Monday it launched a $200 million fund focused on technologies that could impact global healthcare.

OurCrowd said its Global Health Equity Fund (GHEF) “will drive innovation and increase investment in the health sector, with the shared goal of delivering competitive returns to investors and ensuring equitable access to healthcare.”

OurCrowd said the fund was conceived after the COVID-19 pandemic put pressure on global health systems. It will focus on sectors such as healthcare and energy transition and food and agriculture that also impact health.

It said targeted portfolio companies would be those looking to improve healthcare and working to mitigate global health risks related to climate, fossil fuels and looming food shortages.
