Update: Tuesday, September 27 at 1:20 pm: The San Antonio Police Department closed parts of I-10 West after construction crews accidentally hit a natural gas line. CPS is currently working on the matter, according to Sergeant Ricardo Guzman.

“The CPS is there and all the SAPD units are directing traffic,” Guzman shared with MySA. “but [I-10 West access roads at Stonewall/Cypress] will be closed. So, you can expect at least a few hours. “

Guzman added that SAPD will notify drivers when the channel will reopen via social media.

The San Antonio Police Department issued a traffic alert after a natural gas line on a major highway in the city of San Antonio was interrupted.

At 12:58 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, SAPD alerted drivers on I-10 West. According to the post, the entry lane to Stonewall/Cypress will be closed due to disruption to the gas pipeline.

San Antonio drivers could be closed for the next several hours, according to the San Antonio Police Department. No accident or injury has been reported.
