General manager Eugene Mader Join Thompson San Antonio – Riverwalk after over 20 years in the Hyatt family, working across multiple brands in the UK and US. Most recently, Mardell served as hotel manager, overseeing the successful opening of Thompson Austin and Tommy Austin in Texas. His previous stints at Hyatt include hotel manager at the Hyatt Regency Central New York, director of hotel operations at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio Riverside, and director of food and beverage at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa in New Mexico. While in the UK he worked in the university city of Cambridge and the famous Claridge Hotel in Mayfair, London. Eugene was born in the UK and graduated from Cardiff University in Wales with a BA in Hospitality Management. He has lived in San Antonio for the past eight years.
