Singer Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of rock legend Elvis Presley, has died, her mother said in a statement.
The 54 year old cardiac arrest At her home in Calabasas, Calif., on Thursday morning.
Her mother Priscilla Presley said: “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.
“She was the most passionate, strong, loving woman I’ve ever known.”
Earlier, the 77-year-old issued a statement asking people to “pray for her and our family”.
She said her daughter had been “rushed to hospital” and paramedics were called shortly before 10.40am.
Presley’s family, including Priscilla and daughter Riley Keough, were pictured outside a Los Angeles hospital before news of her death was announced.
Her cardiac arrest came after she attended Golden Globes in Beverly Hills, where she celebrated Austin Butler winning best actor in a drama for playing her father in the biopic Elvis Presley.
Interviewed on the red carpet, she told Entertainment Tonight that she was blown away by the star’s “exciting” performance.
Just this past weekend, Presley celebrated his father’s birthday on January 8, 1935, at her father’s old Graceland Mansion in Memphis, Tennessee.
Elvis Presley, widely considered the greatest rock artist of all time, died on August 16, 1977 at the age of 42.
