COLUMBIA — Being diagnosed with cancer at a young age made Tiffany Plumley see the world differently.
“I’m starting to notice what you put in and the effect on the body,” she says.
She started making small changes to her lifestyle and developed a passion for natural health and started sharing this knowledge with others.
In 2016, Plumley became a certified health coach and owns his own business, Natural Blessings LLC.
Through faith-based business, Plumley says, she works with people to help them find the courage to make the necessary changes, while giving them the tools to succeed.
In 2018, she decided to shift the focus of her business from what she puts in her body to what she puts on her body that affects her health.
“I decided to be more hands-on and make natural bath and beauty products for friends and family,” she says.
Her products became so popular that she was called “Miss Soap” And started renting space in five different stores to sell her products, including one in Columbia.
The company is now celebrating the grand opening of the Natural Blessings Spa and Boutique at 8 S. Main St. Oct. 7. The event will begin at 4 p.m. and open to the public.
Guests will be able to enjoy desserts, food trucks, refreshments, music and dancing, and a chance to win prizes. There are also bounce houses, inflatable games and other stuff for kids.
“My dream has always been to open a storefront and change the world. I honestly never thought that dream would come true. My dream is unfolding right before my eyes. I now have a storefront in the best city in America,” she says.
She also credits Columbia’s Upper Room Scholarship for helping her build a solid foundation for her faith and love of the city while serving her life throughout her life.
“Under God’s guidance, we plan to expand and provide many services so that everyone who walks through our doors can feel love, peace and joy,” she says.
In addition to her own natural products and services, Natural Blessings also offers other local artisans the opportunity to rent out boutique space.
There are already several artisans in the boutique.
“I can’t thank everyone enough for the love and support I look forward to growing up in this great city,” she says.
Natural Blessings will open at 10am. Through Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 4pm, Thursday 10am to 6pm.
