“Medical care was provided to several guests and crew members with minor injuries at the airport, while some were rushed to local hospitals for further treatment,” Hawaiian Airlines said. tweets.

The turbulence occurred 15 to 30 minutes before the plane landed in Honolulu with 278 passengers and 10 crew on board.

Emergency medical services and US Medical Response responded to a “mass casualty emergency” at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport just after 11 a.m. Sunday, the statement said.

The airline said it was conducting a “thorough inspection” of the plane before it resumed operations.
